  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Transfer students are eligible for merit-based scholarships ranging from $25,000 - $28,000 per academic year by applying to the college by the application deadline. Students must submit the FAFSA to be eligible for need-based financial aid.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum college GPA of 3.0 is required for transfer. Grades for transfer credit are not factored into a student's ASC point average.
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official high school and college transcripts is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Agnes Scott is test optional. Students may choose if they wish to submit ACT or SAT scores for consideration, and students are not penalized at the admission or scholarship stage for choosing not to do so.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Agnes Scott requires at minimum one professor recommendation.
  • Essay:
    A personal essay addressing your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve is required with the application.
  • Application Fee:
    None
  • Interview:
    The Office of Admission recommends an interview prior to application, either in-person or virtually, with your admission counselor. These are informal discussions where we can get to know you and your interests.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    No
  • Other Requirements:
    Agnes Scott has a supplement to the application that must be completed.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Transfer credit is given for grades of C- or better. No credit is given for academic courses with pass/fail or satisfactory/unsatisfactory grades. Transfer credit must be approved by the registrar's office.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 64 academic and two physical education transfer credit hours may be applied toward an Agnes Scott degree. A student must earn a minimum of 64 hours in ASC academic courses toward the 128 hours required for the Agnes Scott degree.
